O-H-I-O!

Someone told me once that if you go up to an Ohioan and say, "O-H!", you will receive the automatic reply of "I-O!".  For one little guy that just turned one, his parents are starting him off on the right track!  He was given an Ohio State themed birthday party, and I provided football cookies (sugar cookies with chocolate cream cheese frosting) and, in place of the normal buckeyes, peanut butter Oreo truffles.  The parents did the cake on their own, and it was beautiful and delicious!  No one walked away from this party hungry or craving sweets, including the man of the hour...who just happens to be my nephew!  Thanks for letting me be part of your day, Jen and Tony, and Happy 1st Birthday, Noahman!!

Here's the man of the hour:

And the AMAZING cake that his parents made for him...did I mention it was amazing?!

Love in cupcake form

These cupcakes were made for an engagement party.  Beautiful, Simple, and Delicious!  Chocolate cake with raspberry filling; raspberry cream cheese topping; chocolate hearts.

Light and Delicious

A torte is fantastic all year round, but you just can't beat fresh fruit in the summer.  Graham cracker crust, cream cheese filling, mixed berry topping.  A light dessert that won't leave you feeling overloaded.

Decadence in Dessert Form

This cake, made for a Valentine's day celebration, is the perfect way to indulge.  Layers of dark chocolate cake, filled with whipped cream, strawberry filling, fudge, and chunks of strawberry.  Covered in a homemade whipped cream and drizzled with chocolate, strawberries and chocolates show the perfect way to show someone how much you care!

A taste of spring

When the weather starts turning warm again, everyone craves something that will taste like the new season.  Or, during the coldest days, these remind us of the good times spring and summer bring.  These strawberry lemonade cupcakes with strawberry cream cheese frosting are the perfect way to accomplish that!

Everyone loves a cookie!

Cookies are a fun, easy way for everyone to find something they enjoy.  Tell me what you love in a cookie: from the commonly loved chocolate chip to something we create together, the possibilities are endless!  Some of the favorites have been:

Dinosaur sugar cookie

Peanut butter cookie surprise (Snickers inside!)

Macadamia Shortbread

Whole Wheat sugar cookie with eggnog glaze

Cherry coconut cookies; cranberry-pistachio sugar cookies drizzled with white chocolate; sugar-free chocolate chip cookies; peppermint swirl brownies.

Fall Truffles

Healthier Pumpkin Cheesecake

A sugar-free, carb-free cheesecake.  Still sweet and full of holiday flavors, and you can still button your pants afterwards!

Surprise for the Groom

These cupcakes and cake were a surprise for the groom at the rehearsal dinner.  It's debateable whether the groom or the kids liked them best; either way, they were a delicious, fun and personal way to start off the wedding festivities!

The Star Wars cake was white cake with buttercream, filled with lemon curd.  The Star Wars logo was made from chocolate, and edible "stars".

Cupcakes are white or chocolate, with buttercream.  Edible light sabers.

Fall in a cupcake

These cupcakes have a few different flavors going on, but they all mesh wonderfully.  It's a small bite of heaven, in fall form!  Pumpkin cupcakes with cranberry sauce on top and soaked into the cupcake.  Topped with buttercream, with a hint of maple.
